The Good Rub is a small family business based on the Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia.
Sam and Tory met while working in the beef industry and share a love of good steak and good company.
We were always looking for ways to improve our BBQ experience and began trialing some dry rub recipes. We found that most dry rubs contained the same ingredients and were nearly half cane sugar, that tended to stick on the grill.
We experimented with different products and flavours until one day, over a steak and a red wine, we looked over the table at each other and declared… ”that is a good rub”.
We offered some to our 3 boys who immediately abandoned their sausages and made short work of our steak.
Since that time we have used the good rub on just about everything.
And so “The Good Rub” was born…
